Bluefin Tuna

This is very worrying. “A proposal to ban the export of Atlantic Bluefin tuna, which is a sushi mainstay in Japan, has been rejected by a UN wildlife meeting. Stocks have fallen by about 85% since the industrial fishing era began”
This quote says it all ” The market for this fish is just too lucrative… for enough governments to support a truly sustainable future for the fish ”

Yasawa Princess Maldives 2010

Result! Just booked a holiday aboard the Yasawa Princess, crusing in the Maldives. Now just have to get through a few months of drudgery at work…..still at least I have some top notch scuba diving to look forward to now!

Just back from our trip to Biyadhoo Island in the Maldives. I got to do some excellent dives and met some great divers – Stefan, Bruno, Jan & Greg , Lorna & Dick to name but a few. All dives were with Dive Ocean divers who were excellent – a big thanks to Monika & her staff.

Some videos I shot in 2008 in the Maldives. Dive sites included: Vadhoo Faru , The Wall (Manta point), Maamunagau thila, Kuroshigiri faru, Kottefaru Kamatti, Marikilu faru, Beriyan Bodu thila & Kudathuladhoo thila . This was our second visit to the Maldives, this time staying on an island called Meedhupparu
