This is very worrying. “A proposal to ban the export of Atlantic Bluefin tuna, which is a sushi mainstay in Japan, has been rejected by a UN wildlife meeting. Stocks have fallen by about 85% since the industrial fishing era began”

This quote says it all ” The market for this fish is just too lucrative… for enough governments to support a truly sustainable future for the fish ”

The BBC wants to hear from you?

The BBC Trust has now launched an official consultation on its proposals for massive cuts to its services. It’s asking us to email to say what we think of their plans to cut their website in half and scrap BBC 6 Music and Asian Network.

We need to make sure the BBC gets an overwhelming number of responses against these plans. The more of us who send an email against the cuts, the more chance we have of changing their mind.

Royal Yacht Britannia Leith, Edinburgh

Nobody could ever accuse me of being a fan of the Royal Family, but I couldn’t pass up the chance to see the Royal Yacht Britannia. The yacht was retired in 1997 and is now open as a museum piece. It took us a good couple of hours to complete the tour which was well worth the £10.50 entrance fee. Honest . It was really interesting!  The official website :
